Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths - Psalm 24:4
Every Sunday - 9:00-10:00 AM
ABFs are a great opportunity for you to meet other adults while you learn from God's word. The "Fellowships" (or classes) are always open to newcomers. They come in a variety of sizes and focus on different subjects. Some ABFs are ongoing and others last for a few short weeks, but all are open for you to join at any time! A sign at the entrance to South will list that day's classes and direct you to their locations.
A - Adult - Means that these classes will be geared for adults. Actually, anyone is welcome but the content, teaching styles, and community support efforts are structured to aid adults toward the life God has for them.
B - Bible - Means that the focus of theses classes will be built on Biblical principles and content. That certainly does not limit what is studied in an ABF. Every area of life is talked about in the Bible, and any situation you've experienced will receive some insight from God's Word. It is truth that lasts beyond this life.
F - Fellowship - Means that these classes will provide the opportunity for true community to be expressed among their participants. The type of community Jesus wants is not easy to live in our society. It takes work. It takes commitment. It takes love. ABFs will not necessarily produce such authentic community living, but they will support and encourage. It. Each ABF team is committed to seeing their class provide an environment for Christian life and growth together.
A typical ABF hour consists of fellowship, a time of sharing and praying, consistent Biblical teaching, and ministering to each other. On special occasions, the ABFs are merged together for seminars that focus on needed topics. Pleas feel free to try several classes and find the right place for you to grow! |
