A Short History
In the fall of 1979, a group of local Christians started an independent
church called South Evangelical Presbyterian Fellowship.
They wanted to create a church on the south side of town that was
evangelical, based on the Bible and the need for personal faith.
It was to be Presbyterian in its organization (shared Elder leadership).
Finally, it was to be a fellowship - where every Christian was welcomed,
guided, and encouraged to grow in God's grace and authority. And so
South Fellowship Church was born.
